Our vision is to make yoga accessible to everyone regardless of age or athletic ability. By balancing a serious, rigorous regimen in a clean, safe and humor-inspired environment, we are able to offer instruction to both novice and experienced practitioners. Each pose is a challenge based on our personal, individual abilities.
Students come to Downtown Yoga for physical and emotional nourishment. The physical benefits come from the yoga itself. The emotional benefits come not only from the yoga, but also from the connection with our community.
An authentic passion for people and our environment has been part of the Downtown Yoga Mission since our inception and is embraced by everyone from our instructors to the CEO. We invite you to get to know those who hold it together.
Downtown Yoga's connectivity seeps into the walls of our studios and out to our surrounding neighborhoods. Learn about Downtown Yoga's Karma Yoga Project and how you can get involved in our community outreach.
Explore the online yoga classes and blogs often to connect with other Downtown Yoga yogis and instructors. You’ll discover meditation tips, posture breakdowns, Nutrition advice and posts from guest writers within the Downtown Yoga community and the yoga community at large. Stay informed about the latest Downtown Yoga happenings in your local area with our monthly newsletter.
Yoga instructors at Downtown Yoga have participated in intensive & comprehensive programs and some have participated in residential Teacher Training Certification programs as long as 6 months. Along with our regular teaching staff, we have visiting guest teachers who teach at Downtown Yoga. Our instructors also maintain current recertification qualifications. This ensures that you, our students, receive the highest quality of instruction available today.
Studio instruction includes classes and programs 4-Week Yoga 101 Workshops in Classical Hatha Yoga, Candlelight Yoga, Power Core Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Flow Vinyasa and Yinyasa. These classes are either 60 or 75 minutes in length and involve a set of therapeutic yoga stretching postures and breathing exercises.
